All about Korean folk painting from Joseon Dynasty to today

Established in March 2015, the Korean Minhwa Museum offers exhibitions, educational programs, customized experienced learning programs, forums and contests in addition to systematic research and collection for the succession and development of traditional folk painting. From around 4,500 folk painting artifacts in collection, 250 pieces are circulated for display, and you can listen to fun stories of Korean folk paintings from the professional commentator on duty.

The Korean Minhwa Museum is the largest museum specialized for Korean folk paintings in Korea. It consists of four exhibition halls including the permanent exhibition hall, special exhibition hall, living folk painting hall and obscene paintings hall as well as folk painting experiencing site and 4D virtual experiencing site. Also, the folk painting living art experience for everyday use is open to individuals and groups.
